The wonderful wine woman from Stockholm, Cecilia Oldne, was sitting pretty on the simple yet stylish public-space bench. Joining her for a picture, I realised that the bench is not just functional but also comfortable.
It was the opening reception of the Consulate General of Sweden’s presentation of Swedish Style Mumbai! This two-day exciting and engaging event at Famous Studio gave guests a glimpse of the different sectors of Sweden’s creative industries including fashion, design, architecture, photography, fine arts, film, technology, gastronomy and music, all aimed to foster collaborations between Indian and Swedish creative industries.
Besides displays, it comprised seminars on the influence of feminine perspective on physical products, future of fashion, a smarter tomorrow and destination Sweden.
A highlight at the opening reception was the fashion show that featured the Swedish labels Toteme, Eytys, Hope, Our Legacy, Selam Fessahaye, Max Jenny and By Malina.
The cheer was on with wines, beers and spirits as also a taste of Sweden with dishes created by Swedish Michelin Star chef Marco Baudone.
A happy person indeed was Ulrika Sundberg, Consul General of Sweden in India, at this two-day event conceptualised in collaboration with Swedish creative husband-and-wife team Claes and Christina of BrittonBritton.
