Looking stunning were some of the country’s top models who were there at the first bridal studio of the Vogue Wedding Show 2016 at the Jade couture bridal studio at Peninsula Business Park, Lower Parel.
This exclusive event, hosted by designer duo Monica Shah and Karishma Swali of Jade and Vogue India’s fashion features director Bandana Tewari, also saw ‘Margarita with a Straw’ and ‘Fan’ actor Sayani Gupta as the shining and smiling showstopper. Yes, she looked like a beautiful bride.
The bridal studio was a prelude to the Vogue Wedding Show 2016, a three-day opulent wedding exhibition showcasing the latest and most exclusive wedding services and over 50 coveted brands from the bridal world, held in partnership with the Taj Hotels Resorts and Palaces.
Guests got a glimpse of Jade’s upcoming bridal collection called ‘Videha’s Siya’ inspired by the celebrated love story of Ram and Sita depicted in the form of Mithila art. The Mithila paintings embody millennia of culture, festivities and traditions. An origin traced back to the time of Ramayana, these paintings reverberate amorous poetry, distinctively depicting the union of two souls.
And over summery coolers (well, the monsoon has yet to come to Mumbai), guests looked forward to the fourth instalment of the bridal extravaganza, poised to be grander and bigger this season, coming up at the Taj Palace, New Delhi in August.
