As far as buffets go it could not get bigger or better! Yes, as many as 30 executive chefs across Marriott India properties presented a big fat buffet at the Lotus Cafe at JW Marriott Mumbai Juhu.
Recognizing the culinary innovation and evolving trends across the globe, Marriott International had initiated the ‘Marriott India Chefs Workshop’ that brought together the culinary wizards under one roof.
Guests made several trips to the buffet. There was the local seafood counter with mackerel, sardines, pomfret, Bombay duck marinated in tawa masala haramasala and shallow fat fried, crumb fried kane, Asian counter with sushi, salmon Makimono, tuna uramaki, unagi temaki and assorted sashimi and nigiri, chicken with dry chillies and cashew, fish in black bean sauce, noodle soup counter, Indian Awadhi food with lamb nihari, murgh pista khorma,tawa gosht,varqui paratha, local chaat counter with dhokla sandwich, khandvi, paani puri, paneer bhurjee with pav, European counter with salt baked Scottish salmon, poached sea bass with fennel and kalamata olives, braised lamb shanks, lime cous cous, Italian counter with seafood ravioli, wild mushroom ravioli, anti pasti skewers, olives, salami Milanese, salami Napoli, parma, live pasta made with your choice of sauces.
Of course, there was a vast variety of delightful desserts, too.
And after this bountiful buffet it was time for siesta!
