Popup panache and that healing touch blended beautifully at Atosa, that eclectic fashion store by Aparna Badlani and Azmina Rahimtoola. It was time for Atosa to go online for the first time with Chic House that also showcased a popup range.
Healing garments by House of Milk founded by Reshma Merchant and Priyanka Kaul Lakdawala were a hit among the many gorgeous guests.
Atosa went online with Priyanka Parekh, Pinnacle, SHIFT by Nimish Shah, Natasha J, Diksha Khanna, BODICE, Whim by Poorvi, Vijay Balhara, Shweta Puthran and Heena Kocchar. The popup showcased the creations of Mayank Anand and Shraddha Nigam, Crazyheart and Pre-ri, to name a few.
Chic House founders Sakshi Mirchandani and Krati Valecha were there as was Parveen Dusanj who features in the House of Milk photo campaign.
Responsible luxury, purposeful design and the intention to revive and sustain cottage industry drive House of Milk. The brand comprises two lines – Wearable Art, a collection of hand-painted jewellery in 18-carat gold and Healing Garments that combine minimalistic designs and the goodness of herbs.
Ancient ayurvedic traditions weave the healing qualities of herbs and roots into light-as-air fabrics such as cotton, linen and silk. House of Milk collaborates with experts of this little-known practice to customise bolts of silk, linen and cotton spun with handpicked herbs such as aloe vera, neem, rose, cinnamon and lavender among several others.
The fabrics soothe both the body and the spirit. The all-white collection comprises utilitarian yet chic pieces for women, scarves for men and wraps for babies. The garments are therapeutic and odourless with precise instructions for wash and care.
