Much banter bounced to and fro at the launch of the book ‘The Village of Pointless Conversation’ by Kersi Khambatta, based on Homi Adajania’s film ‘Finding Fanny.’
The book published by HarperCollins India was launched at the Sofitel with Naseeruddin Shah, Twinkle Khanna and Homi Adajania in conversation with Conde Nast Traveller editor Divia Thani Daswani. You heard some funny and poignant excerpts from the book as also nice and naughty comments from the panellists.
Guests at the launch included Sheetal Mallar, Mitali and Prahlad Kakkar, Natasha and Nikhil Chib among many more.
Grover wines from their art collection filled the guests with good cheer and with the book set in Goa you relished Goan delicacies like chicken cafrael and chorizo pau that were served as bite-sized hors d’oeuvres.
