A quirky point of view into the automobile world was what you witnessed at the preview of Pratik Sharma’s second solo show revolving around cars and motorbikes. His ‘Motorscapes’ show at Hirji gallery at Jehangir art gallery brings alive his craze for cars in tune with his craving for creativity, making this collection a long-cherished dream.
Complicatedly drawn and inked, Sharma’s automobiles, once stately and great, are dressed marvels. For all intents and purposes a scar clan, this armada of automobiles wears its scratches like symbols of honour.
The show, inaugurated by Autocar India editor Hormazd Sorabjee, saw the presence of Pratik’s wife Rishika, his parents Nimisha and Charan Sharma and friends like Khushnuma and Arzan Khambatta among others.
The show is on at Jehangir art gallery till February 28 and then continues at Gallery Beyond from March 3 to 24, before proceeding to the New York Art Fair from March 30 to April 3. Way to go!
