Bursting with bonhomie and crackling with camaraderie was SulaFest, now in its ninth edition, with over 10,000 people packed at this wonderful weekend to remember. It was a heady cocktail of mesmerizing music, wine, drinks, gourmet food, fashion, shopping and more at the idyllic environs of the scenic vineyards in Nashik.
Headlining music acts included the Cat Empire on Saturday and Kailasa on Sunday who got the massive crowd in the groove. And groovy indeed was the Vero Moda fashion show that introduced its spring/summer collection with lady long legs Anushka Manchanda on song.
Brightening up the weekend was the SulaFest Bazaar with a selection of fun items for sale. Foot massages, tarot reading, grape stomping and a variety of other activities added to the fest-feel.
The newly revamped and extended tasting room along with the rustic tasting cellar special tours and tastings were a hit with all wine enthusiasts. The bubbly Brut Tropicale, popular Riesling, limited-edition Rasa Shiraz and Rasa Cabernet were clear favourites. At the Hardys’ lounge it was time to relish the wines from Australia. And it was also time to enjoy the evening chill with ice-creams from London Dairy, paired with some of the best wines from Sula.
Apart from wines from the vineyards of Sula, fest-goers also enjoyed a wide selection of drinks from around the world, many brought to India by Sula’s import arm Sula Selections. Hardys was on board as a wine partner and Asahi Super Dry Beer, Cointreau, Grant’s Family Reserve Whiskey, Jägermeister, Jack Daniel’s Old No.7 Tennessee Whiskey and Stolichnaya vodka were also present to ensure no one went thirsty.
Complementing the drinks were the food fare from The Bombay Food Truck, Olive Bar & Kitchen, Woodside Inn, Maroosh, Puffs & Roll and more. Meanwhile, at the popular Soleil by La Plage, chef Morgan Rainforth prepared a special menu with organic produce from Sula’s very own farms, offering a sit-down gourmet dining experience like no other.
And at the end of it all everyone was looking forward to the tenth edition of SulaFest!
