Fresh on your table

The Captain's Table
The Captain’s Table at BKC

Bandra Kurla Complex is abuzz once again, this time it’s the launch of The Captain’s Table at Pinnacle Corporate Park, BKC. It is Mumbai’s newest seafood specialty restaurant that, as it name suggests, will treat you like when invited to dine at the captain’s table on a luxury cruise liner.
Aarathi Arambhan, director, Arambhan Group, is the innovator behind The Captain’s Table and the popular MeSoHappi with its third outlet launching right next door.
The menu at The Captain’s Table can best be described as elaborately devised and extensive with the finest, freshest catch of the sea being served on your platter. The options are exhaustive with Indian, Spanish, Mediterranean and Asian seafood dishes to choose from. Goan Prawn Curry, Spanish Catalan Sea Food Stew, Malvani Fish Fry, Mediterranean Grilled Snapper with Warm Beetroot & Curry Leaf Salad, Lobster Tandoori and Fennel & Crab Ravioli are a few of the mouth-watering signature dishes on the menu.
The menu is divided into small plates and big plates with tandoori items being a key element. An interesting combination of soups, salads and Indian desserts balances out the seafood-dominated menu.
The interiors of the restaurant are designed to look like the inside of a ship and accentuate the feeling of being on board a vessel. The furniture is constructed from aged wood, battered and seasoned with the sea wind, which further emphasizes the restaurant’s likeliness to a ship. Plush chairs and white clothed tables complete the dining set-up at this spacious 80-seater restaurant.
Different elements and artefacts such as the anchored reception stand, ropes and cushioned walls further add to the luxurious ambiance. The restaurant is brightly lit with bulbs encased in a glass exterior suspended from wall segments, giving a formal yet warm and inviting atmosphere to the place.
