Ananyashree, Rajashree and Neerja Birla at Liva Protege 2015 at St. Regis

Fresh fashion came to the fore at the grand finale of Liva Protégé 2015 at the St. Regis. This pan-India designer hunt for recognizing India’s future stars in the field of fashion covered over 12 cities, top 50 fashion institutes and touched more than 100 students across India before it reached the final leg of the journey with the top 12 finalists showcasing their creations at a fabulous fashion show choreographed by Shy Kalra.
The competition gave them chance to showcase their talent and get mentored by some of the biggest names in the industry. The winner gets an opportunity to work with the prestigious in-house design team of online fashion e-commerce venture of Aditya Birla Group –ABOF.com (All About Fashion) or an opportunity to have up to five of his/her designs sold on the site besides a cash prize of Rs. 2 lakh. There are also prizes for the first and second runners-up.
Liva Protégé is powered by Liva, a new-age fabric from the house of Birla Cellulose, designed to infuse incredible fluidity into garments. It aims to tap into the great Indian talent pool and ensure that promising fashion designers in India get their rightful place under the sun, and help India keep shining across the global fashion landscape.
Judges at the grand finale included actor Soha Ali Khan, fashion designer Narendra Kumar, fashion photographer Prasad Naik, Cosmopolitan editor Nandini Bhalla and Svantantra Micro Finance founder and chairperson Ananyashree Birla. The winners were selected on the basis of aesthetics, design, fluidity and functionality of the creations.
And let’s hear it for the winners: second runner-up Sagarika Joshi from Bangalore, first runner-up Nitin Gupta from Ahmedabad and winner Riturana Deori from Ahmedabad.
