There was a crackle in the air at the third edition of Johnnie Walker The Journey with things looking bigger and better. Keep walking is what Johnnie Walker keeps saying. And the crowd kept walking from one stage to another – and they also kept rocking. Of course, rock they must, what with the mesmerizing music by the international acts.
There was Explosions In The Sky, described as the world’s greatest instrumental rock band whose soul-stirring tunes have featured in Hollywood blockbusters and popular TV shows; Tycho, pioneer in audio-visual ambient music and producer of chartbuster albums ‘Awake’ and ‘Dive;’ and Giorgio Moroder with four Grammy and three Oscar awards to his name, the music trailblazer who pioneered the disco craze. There was also ‘Listen To The Marlon’ film documentary on reclusive actor Marlon Brando by Stevan Riley.
Spotted were Mandira Bedi, Raj Kaushal, Nauheed Cyrusi, Sumona Chakraborty, Shazahn Padamsee, Kiran Rao, Luke Kenny … the list goes on and on.
And the cheer was on with Johnnie Walker variants at the various bars all around.
