Simply splendid was what it was at Royal Fables, the two-day heritage exposition that presented the rich, cultural imprint of Imperial India. Showcased at St.Regis was a rich repertoire of exquisite heritage-inspired art, costumes, jewellery, home accents and handicrafts designed by the blue-blooded heirs of leading Indian royal families themselves, and unveiled was an art wall featuring works by artists of royal descent.
Day two ended with a sundowner graced by Yuvraaj Vikramaditya Singh of Jammu & Kashmir as chief guest and Nawab Kazim Ali Rampur as guest of honour, and hosted by Shishir Baijal, chairman, Knight Frank India and Maninder Singh, president, Royal Punjab Polo. Also present were Anshu Khanna, founder, Royal Fables and Sadhana Baijal, managing partner, Royal Fables. And looking lovely indeed was special guest Sunny Leone.
At Royal Fables collectors and connoisseurs saw a rich and robust cache of design and art by 50 royal families of India. On display were craft and textiles collection from the Palace Atelier led by Princess Diya Kumari of Jaipur, oleographs and textiles from Maharani Radhikaraje Gaekwad of Baroda, vintage regalia of a royal wedding by Rani Sandhya Kumari of Khajurgaon, pure gold woven saris by Thakurani Darshana Kumari of Mandawa, hand-painted saris by Rajkumari Alkarani Singh of Pratapgarh, exquisite organic cotton ensembles by Kanwarani Kamini Singh of Seohara, among other stylish stuff.
