Rich and varied

Saif Ali Khan & Raghvendra Rathore

Deriving inspiration from the British Raj, Raghavendra Rathore showcased the best of the colonial Indo-Western spirit on the ramp at the Van Heusen + GQ Fashion Nights at Grand Hyatt. The showstopper was the suave Saif Ali Khan who ruled the ramp with an air of ease and panache.
The collection was an amalgamation of varied influences – intellectual, military and oriental. The modern Indian kurta saw a makeover, making it easy to be worn as a western outfit with trousers or jeans as against the usual breeches.
Fabrics that partner well for an Indian summer were used to amplify the silhouettes and the fit, as the collection celebrated the revival of clothes from the turn of the century. The collection on the runway showcased a strong black-and-white theme.
The ready-to-wear ‘The Imperial India Company’ line draws inspiration from the bespoke brand ‘Raghavendra Rathore’ and appeals to a younger audience.
