There was a nip in the air and a warmth in the body as Grey Goose and Asilo at St. Regis presented the second edition of their Couture Cabanas with the cabanas redesigned by famed fashion designers Krishna Mehta, Maheka Mirpuri, Anand Kabra and Payal Singhal, taking inspiration from the new signature cocktail collection from the Grey Goose menu.
Krishna Mehta’s cabana is inspired from the Golden Delight cocktail and sports a golden touch with everything from the upholstery to the décor going gold and the use of Benarasi fabrics, yarn cones and blocks.
The Delft Blue cocktail is the inspiration for Maheka Mirpuri who takes you into a shrouded forest focussing on the practical yet stylish elements of the decorative possibilities of flora and fauna. Blending in a naturistic look, you can see large trees, brambles and twigs, violets interspersed with orchids and cherry blossoms and lanterns and bulbs, all very edgy and ethereal indeed.
Payal Singhal’s cabana is inspired from the elderflower liqueur and the daisy garnish in the Shire Flower cocktail, with vintage shabby chic using handmade elements of lace, crochet and a soft play on lights.
Anand Kabra takes inspiration from the Honey Rose Petal cocktail with a Nizami look albeit with a contemporary touch, bringing about a perfect blend of modernism with the classic. The fusion of the old and the new sees a lot of monochromes paired with blacks and whites. Chandeliers add an element of dynamic movement and romance, while rose petals and embroidered cushions add a vintage visual appeal.
Viewing it all and having a taste of the Grey Goose specials were the likes of Karishma Tanna, Jackky Bhagnani, Mugdha Godse, Rahul Dev, Rukshana and Mustafa Eisa, Kunika and Rana Singh, Vikas Bhalla Alisha Chauhan, Marielou Phillips, Mathieu Foss, Lucky and Mohammed Morani, Kaushika and Kamlesh Hemdev, Narendra Kumar, Tanaz and Chirag Doshi, Aparna Badlani, Sona Mohapatra and Sanam Sippy of Asilo.
You can catch these couture cabanas till December 17.
