Resort wear for men never looked more stylish and trendy than in ‘The Dawn’ collection presented by Pratham & Gyanesh at IBFW. In a fast-paced show that displayed high-octane energy, the line comprised lightweight unstructured jackets worn with tapered colourful turn-up trousers.
Colour blocking played a major role with shades of blue being in the forefront. Pure linen, wool and stretch cotton were treated with geometric quilting textures, while concealed embroidery detailing added to the unique aspect of the garments.
A variety of silhouettes started with single and double breasted sports jackets teamed with cotton stretch chinos, while there were linen shirts and kurtis for relaxed resort wear options. Lapels were narrow, either notched or peaked, and patch pockets in contrast shades added to the trendy look.
Making a strong fashion statement was the bright yellow double-breast jacket with two back vents, blue jacket with black piping, quilted waistcoat paired with orange pants, and a soft jacket in three colour tones and four patch pockets. Trousers were skinny and ankle length throughout the show. The final tuxedo in dual tones of velvet with satin cuffs gave a new dimension to men’s formal wear.
