Urvashi Kaur’s collection at IBFW was an ode to Grecian classicism and Indian heritage. Burnished bronze and gold toga dresses in natural fabrics like linen and mulmul were showcased and interspersed with separates and swimwear.
Rich detailing added to the feminine grace of the ensembles, while halter bikini tops, asymmetric cascades, sensuous monokinis and swimwear gave the collection a dramatic seaside look.
The show opened with a red-pink ombré sari dress, followed by a scooped red draped neck-cover in chiffon and a white hipster crinkle-layered skirt. Tie-ups came in the form of knots for drop crotch satin pants, while a batwing one-shoulder creation created a stir on the runway.
Making another strong impact on the ramp was a draped red bubble dress and a will-powered red layered blouson dress. Interesting accessories like wire totes, armlets and metallic silver and gold necklaces complemented the collection perfectly.
