It was time to live it up at JW Marriott Mumbai Sahar as Lasvit, manufacturer of unique works of glass including bespoke lighting installations, glass artworks and award-winning collections, celebrated its new Lasvit branch, located at BKC. Leon Jakimič, president and founder of Lasvit, was there to meet and greet the many guests. Guest of honour was Czech Ambassador Milan Hovorka who spoke straight from the heart about the wonders of Lasvit. Also present was Lasvit art director Maxim Velcovsky.

You heard that Lasvit’s exclusive large-scale glass lighting sculptures are already installed in a number of prestigious hotels in India, including JW Marriott Mumbai Sahar, Shangri-La Bangalore, Radisson Blu Plaza New Delhi, Park Hyatt Hyderabad, Hilton Chennai, Hilton Residences Bangalore, Trident BKC and others. But a closer look at their portfolio reveals a number of luxury private residences for Indian sports celebrities, important entrepreneurs, industrialists and bankers.

Lasvit combines the authenticity of glass with innovative technologies and creative craftsmanship. Founded in 2007 and based in the heart of Europe in the Czech Republic with a centuries-old glassmaking tradition, Lasvit has already launched branches in 12 cities around the world. In a few short span of time it established itself as the authority for delivering bespoke lighting sculptures and art installations made from hand-blown glass.

And as you sipped luxury spirits, had a bite of varied cuisines and listened to mesmerizing music, you heard of Lasvit’s uncompromising mission: to transform glass into breathtaking light and design experiences.
