The Mapxencar twins Riddhi and Siddhi showcased their glamorous ‘Golden Pheasant’ line of garments, presented by Goa King’s, which dazzled the audience at IBFW.
Inspired by the Chinese Golden Pheasant, the MapxencaRS label brought unbridled colour on the runway through gorgeous weaves and embellishments. Ensembles were painted in shades of maroon, dark blue, green and black and balanced with sharp dashes of mint green and pink.
Catering to the needs of the bridal couple and their stylish guests, Riddhi and Siddhi featured glorious festive touches in the garments. Stylish wide palazzos were teamed with ornate cholis and heavily embroidered scarves, a sheer black horizontal weave maxi with striking antique gold piping was worn over a sensuous body suit.
Origami-fold edging on dupattas, kurtas, cholis and garments created a unique touch. Capes appeared with long skirts or gold cigarette pants, while pre-stiched saris with embroidered pallavs gave the traditional drape a new-age look.
In menswear, there were lean sherwanis with colourful embroidery down the front and hemline, giving the outfit a regal look. The wine coloured suit with pleated lapel, a full orange suit teamed with a blue piped shirt collar, a velvet embroidered bandhgala sherwani and raja coat created formal wear directions.
