It was very classy indeed as Business Traveller India and Omkar hosted an art soirée curated by Gallery Art & Soul at a bespoke model apartment in the much sought after Omkar 1973, Worli.
On display were canvases by K Laxma Goud, Lalita Lajmi, Satish Gupta, Bose Krishnamachari, Vinita Karim, Seema Kohli, Shola Carletti, Ajay De, Jenny Bhatt and Shunyam Van Steveninck. Also exhibited were collector items from Ankit Patel, Arzan Khambatta, Brinda Miller and Sharanu Alloli.
Apart from the riveting art and beautiful panoramas, guests enjoyed elegant jazz by saxophonist Anand Vaity, a discerning menu of hors d’oeuvres (a mezze platter of pita chips with muhammrah and tzaziki dips, cold Vietnamese rolls served with sweet chilli dip, grilled mushrooms with herb cheese, mini-bites of thin-crust pizza, a khow suey bar), complemented by fine French and Italian wines alongside an open bar with single malts and more.
Business Traveller’s Editorial Director Tom Otley flew in from London to connect with his Indian readers.
Guests were heard discussing the splendid180 degree view of the Mumbai skyline in the luxurious ‘sky-bungalows’ of Omkar 1973, and how the name of the property came into existence which is taken from the latitude and longitude coordinates of its location – 19.0167 degrees North and 72.8167 degrees East.
