The atrium of the plush Palladium donned a spectacular sparkle as Light Up Your Life, an exquisite installation by Swarovski India in association with Palladium, was unveiled by Nathalie Colin, Creative Director and Executive Vice President, Consumer Goods Business, Swarovski Group, in the presence of Francis Belin, Senior VP, Swarovski Consumer Goods Business Asia-Pacific, Sukanya Dutta Roy, MD, Swarovski Consumer Goods Business India and Rajendra Kalkar, President (West), The Phoenix Mills Limited.
Guests gushed at the awesome installation inspired by lanterns and conceptualised by leading artist-designer and scenographer Sumant Jayakrishnan. What you saw was an abstraction of a lantern as a ray of hope physically floating above the floor standing, yet tiered 3D abstraction of the quintessential thousand petalled Indian Lotus Mandala. The lower tip of the lantern installation and upper tip of the lotus floor standing installation are perfectly aligned with a small gap in between to create the dynamic of the future unknown.
Also sparkling were actors Tamannah Bhatia, Nimrat Kaur and Huma Qureshi who adorned dazzling Swarovski jewellery. Joining in the celebrations were Elli Avram, Mandira Bedi, Rashmi Nigam, Manasi Scott, Ramona Arena, Yasmin Karachiwala and Tanaaz Bhatia, all wearing creations from Swarovski.
Guests also had a good look at the exclusive India Collection designed by Nathalie Colin, inspired by the rich heritage of art and design, especially elements from historical landmarks. Picking a leaf out of that era, the collection takes inspiration from their resplendent architecture which is famously seen in the Taj Mahal. Arches, domes and elaborate stone inlay patterns find their way into this exclusive jewellery collection.
A fabulous fashion show with models showing off Swarvoski jewellery and wondrous champagne and peach creations by Amy Billimoria added to the flair in the air, while a delightful dance by Gaysil Naubert with music by hubby Nash installed that grace in place. Earlier, and later, it was time for two female violinists to mesmerise you with their souful and stirring sounds.
And it was party time with bubbly and Ballantine’s at the bar complemented by a selection of hors d’oeuvres.
