It was a feast for the eyes as traditional Indonesian dancers moved gracefully in the lobby of the Softel Mumbai BKC. It was the opening of the Flavours of Indonesia festival with guests getting a glimpse of the culture of the land just before they could step inside Pondicherry Cafe for a taste of Indonesia.

On till October 18, one can enjoy the cuisine and culture of Indonesia. In attendance is chef Isep Hidayatulloh, born in Jakarta and an alumnus of the SMA Negeri 2 Cianjur, West Java, who is adept in Asian cuisine, with over a decade of experience in the culinary field, and likes to work with traditional and local ingredients such as kaffir lime leaves, seaweed and galangal that all add to the flavour and intensity of the dish.
