Do you Vespa? Apparently, a lot do or at least they attend a Vespa party. Yes, that was the case as Vespa, the most famous scooter in the world, and Umesh Jivnani hosted the Vespa Party at St. Regis Mumbai. It was a celebration of Vespa’s latest offerings in the presence of legendary football player and Vespa global brand ambassador Alessandro Del Piero.
Premiered was the most powerful 150cc range of scooters from Vespa, a timeless icon of Italian lifestyle. Piero unveiled the new range and also launched the ‘Vespa for Children/Del Piero version’ programme for a charity auction, under the umbrella Piaggio Group charity ‘Vespa for Children.’ There was an auction, ably conducted by Rochelle Maria Rao, with the Vespa fetching Rs. 3.75 lakh which would go towards the Smile Foundation. Looking happy indeed at the turn of events was Stefano Pelle, MD, Piaggio India.
The bars were abuzz with the choicest spirits and cocktails and a delightful dinner awaited the many guests. Also on the charts was some mesmerizing music by Manasi Scott and Suchitra Pillai.
And a word on the scooter range: the Vespa SXL range is available in five attractive colours (orange, matt black, white, matt red and azure blue), while the Vespa VXL range is available in six exciting colours (yellow, white, red, matt black, green and maze grey).
Yes, it’s time to Vespa.
