Mumbai recently witnessed an increase in the number of stray animals that are unable to receive any form of medical care and do not have access to basic needs such as nutritious food supply. To support the purchase of such essentials, Shaza Morani (co-founder of SamaajScope) collaborated with World For All to raise funds through a charity sundowner at Asilo, high up the plush Palladium Hotel.
Supporting the cause were the likes of Siddhant Kapoor, Mohammed and Lucky Morani, Gautam Gulati, Karan Deol, Sonaakshi and Malvika Raaj, Vivaan Shah, Kitu Gidwani, Anushka Ranjan, Abhimanyu Dasani and Janvi Turakhia.
Shaza Morani, as you know, had recently produced the acclaimed short and compassionate film ‘The Green Batti Film’ for The Green Batti Project. This film instantly went viral and had Bollywood biggies like Shah Rukh Khan, Abhishek Bachchan and Priyanka Chopra lauding their effort.
Rage Entertainment partnered to promote the event at Asilo with 300 guests including young entrepreneurs, change-makers, entertainment professionals and politicians present. All proceeds through bar sales were directed towards this purpose.
SamaajScope is India’s first social cause marketing and communications company launched as a joint venture between Cineyug and Social Quotient. World For All Animal Care & Adoptions is a Mumbai-based animal welfare organization that has revolutionized the model of stray animal adoptions. Apart from adoptions, the NGO also conducts rescues and sterilizations of the stray animal population.
